AAR Method: Document Growth Victory
Most Christian husbands experience breakthrough moments with their wives, then watch those victories slip away because they never documented what actually worked. Without a systematic way to capture and learn from each interaction, you're destined to repeat the same mistakes and lose the progress you've fought so hard to gain.
The After Action Review (AAR) method isn't just military strategy—it's how you transform from a man who occasionally gets it right to one who consistently leads with wisdom and grows stronger through every encounter with his wife.
Your Mission - Now it's Your Turn
After your next significant interaction with your wife—whether it's tonight, tomorrow, or this weekend—complete your first AAR.
Don't overthink it. Don't perfect it. Don't wait until you feel ready.
Just document what happened, what you learned, and what you'll do differently next time.
Theater-Specific Implementation
Your AAR strategy must match where your marriage currently stands. Here's how to implement based on your theater:
Theater 4: Crisis Mode
Complete AAR within 24 hours of any interaction with emotional content. Share with coach immediately if BDA score is negative. At this stage, every interaction matters and speed of learning is critical for survival.
Theater 3: Stabilization Phase
Complete AAR for all conversations beyond logistics. Focus on trust-building patterns and consistency measurement. You're building the foundation of reliability she needs to see.
Theater 2: Testing and Growth
Complete AAR for significant interactions and character testing moments. Track her evaluation behaviors and your responses. She's watching to see if your changes are real.
Theater 1: Leadership Excellence
Complete AAR for optimization opportunities and leadership development moments. Focus on excellence maintenance and legacy building. You're modeling what Kingdom marriage looks like.
The Power of Documentation
Every interaction with your wife is data. Every conversation reveals patterns. Every conflict shows you exactly where your character needs strengthening.
The AAR method transforms these moments from random experiences into strategic intelligence. You stop reacting and start learning. You stop repeating and start improving.
This is how lasting change happens. Not through good intentions or occasional effort, but through systematic documentation and deliberate improvement.
Warriors inside my program use our Wingman app to transform themselves into a man who can pull this off — not just in the short term, but in a way that the change is lasting for his wife.
Start your first AAR today. Document one interaction. Learn one lesson. Take one step forward as the man God is calling you to become.
